SoCal Venue Spotlight: Calamigos Ranch

As I drove through the Santa Monica mountains for the first time, my heart fluttered in anticipation for the day. Camille & Clay would be married that September day at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, CA, one of SoCal's most enchanting wedding venues. Shaded by the perfect greenery and decorated with trickling waterfalls & twinkling fairy lights, I felt like I had stepped out of Los Angeles county and entered into an oasis that was perfect for a storybook, outdoor wedding.



ABOUT CALAMIGOS RANCH // VENUE AESTHETIC


Calamigos Ranch was founded in 1937 by Grant and Helen Walter Gerson, who envisioned a place for people to enjoy both nature and leisure. This property of over 5,500 acres accomplishes just that, perfectly nestled into Malibu's mountains & wine country. The Gerson family has welcomed guests to the ranch for over 80 years now to enjoy a unique experience that couples wellness, relaxation, and special events. The ranch offers four different spaces for weddings at their Malibu location, each uniquely capturing that beautiful outdoor landscape. For their ceremony, Camille & Clay had settled on The Birchwood Room, which offered a gorgeous ceremony space in front of one of the many waterfalls and a deck overlooking the space perfect for cocktail hour and a seated reception. And don't worry - there was an indoor dance floor for those of you who like to get down and groove! This room is ideal for events 125 people and under.

The max guest capacity is 400.


Does the venue offer event catering?

Yes! You can choose from a variety of menus for formal sit-down dinner or elegant buffet food stations.


Does Calamigos Ranch offer all-inclusive wedding packages?

No, you or your planner can select your preferred SoCal wedding vendors and professionals. You would be responsible for your own Coordinator, Wedding Cake, Flowers, Entertainment, Photographer, Clergy and Liability Insurance.


Is event parking available?

Yes, there is parking available on site. Valet is also available!
